Kinetic Typography
Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 4:14PM Lately, Starbucks (a company I frequent way too often) has been doing some interesting things with type. I first took notice with the launch of the free cup of coffee when you vote promotion. If you have seen Girl Effect, you know how powerful kinetic typography can be at communicating powerful messages without the use of a single image. We as designers are always quick to concept a powerful visual to communicate the message. Then we pick up the phone and call our favorite photographer. Done. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves the most powerful imagery is sometimes no imagery at all.
